Parker Oboe is a true legato oboe library performed by Dr. A. Parker, Associate Professor of Oboe at the University of Texas. Recorded at Orb Studios in Austin, Texas, our goal was to create a responsive, agile instrument that could handle a variety of exciting orchestral contexts without any keyswitching. The Workhorse patch is the all-rounder; performed with a confident mezzo-forte dynamic. Fat Lead is Andrew playing the oboe at full chat — great when you need bite, attitude and soaring melodies. Emotional offers a lyrical performance at mezzo-piano while Delicate explores the very soft, ethereal side of the instrument. We’ve also captured a variety of inhale breaths with subsequent “pre-attack” air/tonguing noises — really helps sell the performance when peppered in before/in-between phrases.

A beautifully sampled set of ethereal copper Wind Chimes. All 6 chimes are sampled in 3 articulations – with a rubber mallet, a wood “beater” and wood stick hits. Also included are Wind Chime atmospheric samples, some of which were processed with Granular Synthesis for an other-worldly quality. Programming includes velocity cross faded articulations, layered pads and flexible key mapping.

Next to the meticulously selected clarinet articulations, we have added those orchestral friends that seemed most appropriate for us – our dream selection. Deep woodwinds and soft brass instruments. This addition enables you to create a broad spectrum of warm organic tones, sometimes quickly sounding like Bernard Herrmann in Hitchcock’s Vertigo. We created a curated set of 15 articulations offering endless options to make the emotive and warm pad sounds we all need and love.
