    The R2 reverb plug-in is a reverb with attitude. In many ways, it harkens back to classic reverbs of the 80’s and 90’s. The reverb tail is fat and full of movement. The chorus controls can even add subtle (or unsubtle) pitch effects. Whether it’s a choir or a power ballad, R2 adds a rich character to the mix. But it doesn’t end there. Like its little brother PhoenixVerb, R2 can also create rooms and plates of its own. The gate control has found special applications as an auto-ducker for dialog mixers or even for traditional mixes keeping the reverb under control. R2 is a traditional reverb with a modern attitude. R2 has also been designed with ease of use as a primary concern. The most important parameters are always available, and a richer set of controls are available only a click away. Presets are organized with application-specific keywords, and the user can easily create new presets and keywords to tailor R2 to the needs of any particular facility.

      The second product of the ongoing and very fruitful collaboration with MagicDeathEye is a faithful emulation of their stereo master buss compressor & equalizer. From the description of the hardware: “The stereo compressor is two mono compressor circuits with some extras designed for mastering and buss compression duties. This new version has an added EQ section. There are two (boost only) bands with two frequency selections each. The EQ is worked into the Variable Mu tube gain structure. This means it is not before or after the compression section, it is within it. The EQ circuit is inductor based and has wide curves for giving program material that “little something”. There is also a two frequency low cut for tightening up out of control bass. The boost of the bands can be 5dB or 3dB split between 5 steps. I spent a lot of time shaping this EQ mastering everyday and fine tuning the components on the weekends. It sounds absolutely fabulous.”

              Polysquasher is a mastering compressor AU and VST plugin for professional audio and sound production applications. Polysquasher was designed with a main goal: to be transparent. Transparent compression action is a cornerstone for any mastering compressor. Transparency of audio signal processing is necessary to preserve all existing elements in the mix, while compression itself is necessary to make the mix sound uniform to other mixes (tracks) and to make it sound more solid and “glued”. Polysquasher achieves its goal by using a unique compression algorithm which requires a small number of parameters – basically threshold and ratio only – making this compressor a joy to use.
