GSi Solo Trumpet is a physical modeling emulation of a trumpet. This is a chapter GSi started a long time ago with one of the first plugins released to the public, then it evolved in a renovated emulation featured in the GSi Gemini, and now is here again with a new plugin. Unlike other similar approaches to a digital recreation of a wind instrument, GSi Solo Trumpet is not meant to be necessarily controlled with a breath control or any other kind of expression controller. It can still be controlled from Midi CC messages and Channel Aftertouch, but its main purpose is to be played on a keyboard in a very natural way without being distracted by extra controllers. Solo Trumpet continuously analyzes the playing style, the use of velocity, staccato and legato, note distance and other elements in order to articulate the sound in a way that it sounds and plays natural and realistic. Features such as auto-bending, auto-vibrato and automatic expression are the key to a satisfying result and make Solo Trumpet a fun instrument to play.

We’ve sampled a handful of top woodwind players at the Teatro delle Voci in Treviso. This is the third volume of our woodwind series: Francesco Lovecchio: Solo Oboe. Francesco Lovecchio is a skilled performer and he’s first oboe in many renowned musical projects in Italy and Europe. The Solo Oboe features more than two octave and a half range, 3 dynamic layers for sustained articulations, 3 true legato articulations (tongued legato, legato espressivo and legato immediate vibrato), 4 Round Robins for staccato. We provide you the ability to create your unique sound by mixing the 3 microphones positions (Close, Mid and Far). The script features our Articulations Editor which allows to precisely control each of the articulations included and create your own ones. The sampling was made with top quality gear: Schoeps microphones, Neve and Millennia Media preamps.

Michele Fattori is teacher of Bassoon at the Conservatory of Music “B. Marcello”, in Venice. He performed with many important directors like Sir S. Rattle, D. Barenboim, I. Fisher, P. Boulez, V. Gergiev, D. Harding, Sir C. Davis, B. Haitink, M. Jansons and recorded with famous labels as Deutsche Grammophon, EMI, Harmonia. The Solo Bassoon features more than three full octaves, 3 dynamic layers for sustained articulations, 3 true legato articulations (tongued legato, legato espressivo non vibrato and legato vibrato), 4 Round Robins for staccato.
