Programmed to drop into any EDM song with just the touch of a key (seriously – the whole demo is just holding C for 4 bars!), the Club Arpeggiators & Sequences soundbank packs 50 ready to go patches. Genre’s range from 90′s House to Moombahton (and everything in between) but a theme throughout is fast pace gated, arpeggiated, and gliding sounds. Great sounds right out of the box All demo tracks are played using one instance of Massive with a 4/4 kick and snare added for effect. Sounds were all generated by holding C for 4 bars, no DAW automation or external effects were used. Although the soundbank has fully programmed macro controls, none were touched in the demo to show the soundbank’s complexity. Macro Controls In addition to typical effects and cutoff macros, the Arp & Seq soundbank adjustments include pitch, sidechain, gate shape, and on/off knobs for multitrack patches. The macros are programmed to allow real time manipulation and sound tweaking for builds and drops.

Drum Loops & Synthesizer Sequences

Groovestar is an innovative and new audio instrument/synthesizer plugin for creating drum loops and synthesizer sequences in a very intuitive way. It is based on the classic step sequencer idea but it features much more possibilities to create powerful patterns by using synthesized sounds as input as well as sampled wave sounds. You can treat and combine them to make hybrid sounds without any limitations. The plugin is controlled by MIDI events – you can map any created pattern to different keys or even combine them to play them simultaneously. Moreover it is possible to map a whole range of notes to a pattern allowing to alter the pitch of it – indepently if it is based on a synthesized sound or a wave file!

‘Analogue Sequences: Ableton Live’ is a collection of loops and instruments for Ableton Live designed and created by the experienced, award-winning sound designers and production tutors at School of Synthesis. This Live pack utilises sequences created from some of School of Synthesis’ vast collection of classic vintage and modern analogue synthesisers. This collection includes sequences expertly programmed for the Korg MS20, ARP 2600, Roland Jupiter 6, DSI/Sequential Prophet 6, Roland SH2, Moog Sub37 and Sid Station. All synths have been processed through Bettermaker EQ and Manley NuMu and recorded through Burl Mothership. However, the original sound sources are only the foundation of what this Live pack is about. The sequences have been expertly re-imagined as performable Ableton Live instrument racks through cleverly utilising the new Simpler Instrument’s modes recently introduced. All instrument racks are compatible with Live 9.7 (and above) Standard and Suite editions, and have been optimised for use with Ableton’s Push controller.
