Quadrant is a modular effects processor geared toward experimental sound design and electronic music production. Quadrant’s streamlined patching system and diverse set of modules provide a customizable processing environment capable of a broad range of creative audio effects. Version 2 builds upon this, adding 4 additional module slots, 14 new modules and numerous new features and refinements. Quadrant 2 excels at generating vivid electronic tones, textures and patterns and processing your drum loops, soft synths and external hardware. We originally set out to create a signal processing plugin with an intuitive yet deep modular workflow that harnesses the fun factor of patching hardware modules, while giving you several advantages such as the ability to run multiple instances of the plugin/modules and DAW integration. We then took years of customer feedback and technical experience into account in order to make version 2 even more flexible, powerful and user friendly.

Ephemere is a percussion synthesizer that includes twelve sound generation engines assigned to each note of an octave. The sounds are generated using FM synthesis and can be further sculpted using a multi mode filter and two simple yet flexible envelope generators. Ephemere makes it easy to add variety to your rhythmic patterns by attaching a randomization setting to most of the synthesis parameters as well as a trigger probability per sound. TENS has been physically modeled after the range of high end studio spring reverberation units introduced by a famous Austrian company from the early 1970s to early 1980s. As opposed to classic spring reverbs found in guitar amps, these units were based on the company’s own patented proprietary design principle, which allowed various connected spring elements of different lengths and wire diameter to vibrate inside a small isolated space. The spring elements were manipulated in various ways, e.g. by etching the wire surface and deforming individual turns of the coil wire resulting in a highly diffused, and very dense reverb, that didn’t expose the boing/chirping artifacts associated with spring reverbs and brought it much closer to the sound of plate reverbs. This range of reverbs is praised for its incredibly deep, organic, complex, rich, smooth and floating character. In terms of sound (but of course not technically) it can been seen as the missing link between classic spring and plate reverbs. A very unique beast indeed!
