The PSA1000 Analog Saturation Unit plugin is a modern recreation of a ’90s classic analog guitar preamp which is used in recording studios all around the world! It is used and “abused” for recording and characterizing not only guitars but also electric pianos, organs, synthesizers, electric basses and many other instruments. The original unit has found its place even in the mix stage for processing all type of sounds, as drum rooms, percussions, vocals, kicks, snares and sound fx too!
Echomixer device, which housed three germanium preamps and a Hammond IV spring reverb. Modelled on a modified example of an original unit from 1960, the emulation brings the classic sound into modern production environments. The GUI replicates the layout of the original hardware unit, with the top section occupied by input and output level controls and three vertical faders that control the level of each preamp channel (labelled A, B and C). Channel A is a clean version of the preamp, whilst B provides a modelled version of the original preamp circuitry, and C offers a more obviously saturated option — the signal flows in series from left to right, and each channel can be independently engaged or bypassed. A pair of horizontal faders follow, with the first setting the balance between wet and dry signals, and the second acting as a ‘character’ control and offering a variable amount of modelled germanium distortion.
The Lindell ChannelX bundle is more than your typical bundle. While on one level it is a collection of three amazing Lindell plugins, the 7X-500 limiter, the PEX-500 EQ and the 6X-500 preamp, it also includes the ChannelX plugin shell which allows you to run all three plugins in a single insert and even change the order that they appear in the signal path. Start off with the 6X-500 preamp to add a bit of punch and color, then add some tasty vintage FET compression with the 7X-500 limiter and then dial in some sweetness with the Pultec inspired PEX-500 EQ.
This plug-in models British-made preamps, compressors, equalizers, and transmitters. It models multiple actual units, including vintage units, recent units, and modified units, and can be used in combination with them.Model N Channel is not just modeling the sound of the original preamp, comp, and EQ alone.It features modeling of the sound qualities and tones routed in large recording studios, including sounds through British consoles, cables, bantam patch bays, and even AD/DA, which can add a strong analog texture.
