    EPIC PERCUSSION 3 – is a brand new cinematic percussion instrument. Epic Percussion 3 includes 3 drum kits and 17 solo percussion instruments. A new sound source position control system allows you to move any of the instruments within the stage space. Complete sound control, a new “Epicness knob” algorithm that allows to mix additional samples, 3 microphone positions and built-in effects. 560 built-in rhythm loops for the fastest arrangement of rhythm sections. Optimized user interface for intuitive access to all instrument functions. Epicness knob” algorithm makes the library perfect for classic orchestral soundtracks as well as for modern aggressive trailers. Just one button allows you to change instrument sound from pure acoustic to hybrid and synthetic sound. Samples mixing with the original sound source are specific for every patch. Virtual stage makes it easy to arrange instruments used in the mix. Just one mouse movement allows you to move the toms closer to the listener or remove high percussion to the far corner of the stage. Also, distance and panorama parameters can be automatized, what can be useful for trailer music composing. For example, the drama effect could be strengthen by reducing the distance. Built-in rhythm loops make it faster to outline the rhythm section of your tracks without being distracted from the main idea.       CATALYST, our first high end sample library, with over twenty stunning cinematic percussion instruments. The instrument is also compatible with both version 4 and 5 of Kontakt, unlike out other instruments, and comes with a staggering FOUR mic positions to mix between. These include close, overheads, mid, and far mic positions, for ultimate control over the sound. Instruments are sampled with up to five round robins per note, with multiple velocity layers per note, for maximum realism and that extra human sounding quality. Each drum was sampled with different types of mallets/sticks, hard, soft, large, wood, etc, as well as trills and extra and even extended techniques included. This library runs in KONTAKT 4 and above. Library size is 3.04GB

        We found a beautiful old African Balafon in a friend’s old studio so we could not resist turning it into a carefully sampled Kontakt instrument. We have recorded this beauty with different microphones and preamps and also in different locations to get some interesting resonances and on some also a little room from the beginning. We then processed these recordings with different hardware saturation and also with some state of the art software tools to make them sound woody, natural and warm. The sounds are carefully tuned and really clean. From there we build a custom GUI for you to manipulate the original until you get the Balafon / Woody sound you are looking for. You have 48 variations to start with. 24 x brush and 24 x sticks. Each instrument has 49 notes. You got some presets which sound more like the real instruments and some which sound like a piano or flutes, some more like soft pads or mystic drums. Velocity is also set to a very musical level for authentic playing.

          Teponaztli Log Drum & HueHuetl Drum- Aztec drums. The Teponaztli log drum and HueHuetl skin drums were the main percussion instruments of the pre-columbian Aztecs. Smaller Huehuetl was originally hung from the shoulder and brought into battle, and struck with the hand. Larger one’s were used in ceremonies including human sacrifices; often with the teponaztli.  After the Spanish conquered Mexico, legend has it that the huehuetl was outlawed by the Spanish, who feared the battle drums — punishment was cutting off of the offending hand. Years later, when the drum was allowed again, the legend continues, players struck them with sticks, in memory of those who lost hands in the past.
