“Mini” is the most comprehensive sample library ever done of ultra tiny object sounds. It contains over 5.000 samples of anything from buttons to rolling toys, wooden twigs to eating chips, boiling frying pans to human hoses, nail files to pocket watches, sand-drums to styro-foam, teeth clacks to water bubbles and so much more. The concept may seem strange at first, but these sounds have remarkable value in terms of composition and music. This library is specially designed to provide a huge wealth of playable source material and inspiration for contemporary scoring, experimental, IDM, industrial and electronic music, as well as professional sound design. We captured an amazing array of different objects and soundsources in a wide range of environments, both exotic and mundane. Our goal was to not only further re-define what can qualify an instrument, but also just how playable we could possibly make each and every one of them. Mini is ready to go out of the box, yet deep and varied enough to provid limitless creative and production potential.

Creating basslines in modern music can be tricky. Getting them distorted and wide, whilst retaining mono compatibility often takes a lot of fine-tuning and experimentation so we created the Renegade Mini to simplify this process, and speed up your workflow. As the name suggests, this is a scaled-down version of its big brother which will be coming out later in the year. But don’t let it’s simple interface fool you, the Renegade Mini is packed with the same processing technology as it’s big brother, in fact, the only difference is the scaled down GUI and the signal processing is the equivalent to an 11 plugin signal chain, so there’s a lot going on in the background.

The Korg Mini-Pops 3 was an analogue drum machine from the 1970s. It was also branded as the Univox SR-55 and Aria Diamond. It had less sounds than its famous sibling, the Mini-Pops 7, and a different approach to the rhythm selection. There were 2 knobs that controlled the bass/snare and cymbal patterns respectively, these were assigned to the foxtrot/swing button. This combination provided 36 patterns for this button alone plus the 18 other rhythms provided.

FK1 Kontakt instrument is a virtual Korg[1] Mini-Pops 7 analogue drum machine from the 1970s. This machine was also branded as the Univox SR-95[2] and Contessa Mini Pops. As a top-of-the-range model it featured 15 sounds and 20 rhythms. The drum sounds were produces using inductor coils (sometimes referred to as tuned tanks) and gave a lovely warm sound. The rhythms could be combined with each other to create new patterns, indeed this is how Jean-Michel Jarre — probably the most famous user of this machine — created the rhythm for Oxygene part 2.
