Blue Cat’s MB-5 Dynamix is an extremely powerful all-in-one multiband dynamics processor: it can be used as a multiband compressor, limiter, gate, expander, waveshaper or all combined at once, on any part of the spectrum. The unique dynamics processing section of the Blue Cat’s Dynamics plug-in has been streamlined and integrated in this plug-in to process each one of the 5 bands separately. The plug-in provides unique envelope detection capabilities that let one band trigger the dynamics response on others (internal side-chain). Combined with the advanced stereo features including mid/side processing and independent channels activation, it gives you full control over the dynamics of the signal for a wide range of effects. An additional brick wall limiter/clipper protects the output for complete control over the dynamics response. The museq plugin makes our musical equalizer come alive on your DAW. It has all the original sound and functions the hardware is known and loved for, including the outstanding high/low cut filters with resonance and the Warm Mode sound shaper. Diphone Studio is used for sonic morphing. After an analysis phase, which breaks up the sound into chunks (called diphones), the chunks are placed in a dictionary. The user then defines which diphones are to be used and in what order in time. Using this information the program “morphs” from one diphone to the next to obtain the final result.

Spectral Vertex Synthesizer

Cycle has a visual workflow for synthesizing sound at the waveform and spectrum level. Using points and lines to design waveshapes and spectral filters, you have the power to add detail where it is needed and directly create the character of the sound you’re after. The result is a capable and productive sound design process. Part of this design philosophy is to visualize as much as possible, providing you with a graphic representation of the output signal – one that is updated in realtime whenever a change is made. With this in mind, the user interface shows different views of the signal and its spectral information. Each perspective doubles as an editor for the curve ‘wireframe’ that contributes its part of the signal processing chain. Wherever possible, Cycle sets no limits. There are unlimited points in a curve, unlimited spectral layers, waveshape layers, deformer curves, scratch envelopes, and unison voices.
