Intelligent look-ahead limiting LAAL stands for Look Ahead Analog Limiter. This is the detection circuit that makes its special sonic characteristics possible – a fully analog delay line (0.2 ms) ‘looks ahead’ with the dynamic transient function to respond intelligently to signal peaks before they occur. This results in responsive peak limiting without harshness or distortion. Achieve your RMS levels and loudness targets while preserving detail, air, and low-end punch. And use its smoother limiting curves and acres of headroom, to bring life to your mix.
INTENSITY is a new kind of audio processor for mixing, mastering and sound design. Built on techniques typically found in facial recognition algorithms, INTENSITY brings out a sound’s inherent detail, increases its perceived loudness and density, and adds insane amounts of clarity. The unique algorithm carves out important signal features – making sounds sound more like themselves – and is operated with essentially one control. Between the proprietary algorithm and an optional soft-knee saturating limiter in the plugin’s output stage, INTENSITY also excels at attaining maximum loudness and creating a beautifully aggressive tone.
CGII is comprised of two uniquely complementary dynamics enhancement sections, a new True Peak Limiting stage, DC blocking and dither with LUFS/true peak metering via spiffy tube filament displays, all operating at up to 16x over-sampling (or none at all – depending on your tastes). The design prioritizes musical integrity and ease of use, with the ability to add effective loudness, weight and definition without diminishing spatial depth and visceral impact the way traditional dynamics processors often do. Use CGII to make your masters loud without losing the clarity, density and heft of the original mix. Even if you are working with a mix that is already loud, you can give it a little extra, without adding unpleasant distortion and without flattening out the material and sucking the life out of the low end. At the same time you can control the true-peak level of the program to ensure that there are no inter-sample overs.
