The FUNKY ELEMENTS download includes both the original ‘The Funky Element’ and ‘Mo Funky Elements’ sample libraries, which we first released as Sample CDs way back in 1991. This classic Funk/HipHop sample collection was one of the world’s very first sample libraries ever produced! It set a world standard for genuine-article funk sounds, and is still regarded by many as the perfect tool for throwing down a retro funky jam. This download in WAV and Kontakt format was created by converting all the data from the original Akai CD-ROM version of Funky Elements.

For this library of Inspiring Guitar Loops, asked guitar player Rémi Saboul to create various guitar parts, including rythmic chord progressions, vamps, signature voicings and guitar solo phrases. He also proposes many sound textures such as wah wah and reverse effect and it sounds great! As usual with loops, feel free to pitch shift, filter or apply any kind of transformations to the loops to create your own sounds. Some of these loops have been inspired by Nu Jazz Grooves Vol 1 so if you also need some drum and bass parts, check this library out!

With 30 alternate samples per key, this is one of our very detailed scripted basses. And the best part is of course the sound of this “Leo’s” legend. The Jazz Bass differs from the Precision Bass mainly in the electrical equipment, a narrower neck and the more asymmetrical shape of the body. In our recording session We used our vintage RFT 4053 Tube Mic-Pre/DI from the good old 60s. This VINTAGE BASS is an all-purpose weapon, so it is also very suitable for modern music styles. So we recorded this “gem of a bass” and cleverly scripted it into a perfect bass library. The real strength of this bass guitar lies in its playability. No machine-gun effect thanks to Multi-Round-Robin. The Analog taste gives the bass character and the flavor it needs for a realistic performance of a bass guitar. This is how the bass cuts through your mix in a perfectly authentic way.
