AMS RMX 16 IRs

High quality made impulse responses (IR) from the classic (original 80’s) AMS RMX 16 from Nevo Studios. AMS was established in 1976 by the Aerospace engineers Mark Crabtree and Stuart Nevison. 1981, they released the RMX-16 digital reverberator which defined the sound of the 1980s and been heard in pop and rock music ever since. By the mid 1980s, nearly every major studio had an RMX 16. It practically defined the drum sound of the era with the huge drums of Phil Collins “In the Air Tonight”. The gated reverb preset NonLin 2 has been heard on hundreds, if not thousands recordings from the 1980s onward. The Sound of the RMX 16 is unique and much sought after. Also heard on classics from: Dire straits, Whitney Houston, George Michael, Peter Gabriel, Van Halen, Prince, U2, Rihanna, Taylor Swift, Radiohead, Kate bush and many moore. This reverb are sampled with several decay times of each bank to preserve the original tone of the reverb. This collection of the AMS RMX 16 contains the banks: *Ambience, *Hall B3, *Hall C1, *Nonlin 2, *Plate A1, *Reverse 1, *Room A1, and one special freeze mode.

Convolution Reverb is a creative device for bringing new space to your sounds – a sample-based reverb suite with hundreds of impulse responses from real-world spaces and world-class hardware. A convolution reverb takes a sample from a real-world space (called an impulse response or IR) and uses this to digitally simulate the reverberation of that space. “Only a convolution reverb can capture the ambience of a real space, or real hardware, and recreate it on a computer,” explains Ableton sound designer Christian Kleine. “With a convolution reverb, you can easily access the reverb of many spaces, and still tweak them.” Convolution Reverb Pro allows for extended tweaking options such as EQ, damping, modulation, and more. “The reverse function in Convolution Reverb Pro is especially nice,” says Christian. “You can modify an original IR to something completely new, and then resave the design as a new preset.” Convolution Reverb Pro also allows for combining two IRs—one for early reflections, and one for late—for a hybrid sound that combines elements of multiple spaces.

Made in the early 80s and loaded with Celestion™ Greenback G12M (25 Watt) speakers, this babe has seen hundreds of stages and clubs. The original mono-input was replaced some time ago by a stereo/mono panel for more flexibility. This cab is ideal for all styles of rock. But its main area of use is Classic Rock/Hard Rock.
