The Duduk, made out of aged apricot wood, is an historic Armenian traditional woodwind instrument. It has now been made famous as it was featured in the Dune movies scored by Hans Zimmer. The sound of it is meditative and haunting, sounding similar to an oboe and saxophone. The reed of the Duduk is hand made from reed cane and requires preparation with water to make it come alive again by producing sound. The Duduk tells an ancient story reaching back possibly 1500 years. To this day you can hear the ancestors’ cries and teachings through it. This Kontakt instrument is mostly 192kHz, 32 bit, 2.82GB featuring main and also experimental articulations that are expanded in extended chromatic scales. The uniqueness comes from the way the Duduk was recorded and further explored in the snapshots.

With a 22 inch/56 cm diameter and hand-hammered tuned, this handpan is recorded with high resolution 192kHz stereo and the aim was to capture sound of the Handpan the way you would hear it when playing it on your lap. Now available in your DAW. Handpan brings you a mesmerizing sound both in D-minor and extended chromatic scale. Pro’s of D-minor presets – the instrument’s resonances are the most natural and whole in the pan’s body. If it was tuned, then the small resonances between notes would misalign. So this is more natural and it is easy to get the hang of playing this way of playing. Pro’s of the chromatic presets – allows you to extend the instrument to any scale you wish.

The Estonia Grand contains both Sustains, Staccato and Plucked articulations, which can seamlessly be tailored together based on your compositional needs. The short note staccatos were recorded with 5 RR pr. velocity layer – offering you the ability to play incredibly fast licks with clear definition on the attack of the sound. The 1971 Estonia Grand Piano also contains our latest Chaos FX designed for sound design. We included many of our new custom Textural Convolution Delays, which gives the instrument the ability to delay textures from other non-piano sound sources.
