        How To Make Filtered House

        SYNTHiC4TE | Jan 13 2020 | 2.35 GB

All-new course in How To Make Filtered House. Starting from scratch Ritchie carves out an absolute classic filtered disco house track using nothing but Ableton and our very own Kick 2 and ANA 2 synths. Ritchie has always been a favourite when it comes to his clear and easy-to-follow courses and this one is no exception, starting with the most important elements in house music – the kick, the hook, and the bass, we build up the groove with percussive elements and an extra melodic piano part before we lay down the rough arrangement. We then search and edit vocal loops and build some effects from scratch to help with transitions and buildups all the while automating Ableton’s Auto Filter to get that classic filtered house sound. Finally, we carry out a mixdown, tweaking the arrangement and then a basic master so it can be played out in the clubs. Aimed at producers of all abilities this course is one that anyone can get their teeth into. Check it out!

Once all the elements are in place we then check out method of arranging the track by taking away sections and using automation to break down and build up tension and always making sure something new is happening throughout the track to keep the listener happy. How To Make Orchestral Hybrid

              SYNTHiC4TE | July 14 2019 | 3.52 GB

A look at a different type of genre this week as we check out How To Make Orchestral Hybrid. Stepping away from his usual tracks, Nate guides us from start to finish in building this epic and grand masterpiece using both EastWest Play and NI Kontakt orchestral sections. We start with looking at templates and how to set up different articulations within your DAW and lay down an initial sketch over some vocals before breaking down the MIDI chord progression into its individual string sections. Using constantly evolving automation lanes to create realistic expression we add brass sections and lead lines along with orchestral percussive elements to help with transitions. Once the orchestral sections are complete we layer in synths, pads and arps to build on the wall of sound before mixing down the track and carrying out a master. This is a masterclass in using orchestral elements in a digital environment and the tips and tricks Nate shows us here can be transferred to all kinds of genres. Definitely worth checking out!
