Metaspace is a collection of 128 sounds designed for the extraordinarily deep Absynth. The soundset is aimed at modern film scoring, ambient and electronica, but is also versatile enough to be used in many other genres such as chillout and dubstep. Gentle pads, enigmatic atmospheres, bubbling sequences, distorted basslines; each sound has huge depth and subtlety to it and can really add an extra dimension to your tracks. The pack contains both .nabs and .ksd format patches, so can be used with both Absynth 5 and Absynth 4.

Dual Music box is a library of 2 music boxes and other sounds. These 3 layers can be mixed together to make a wide variety of music box timbres. The 1st layer is the Victorian Music Box, the 2nd is a tiny, bright music box and the 3rd varies between patches, for example glockenspiel/synth strings/string pluck. If you enjoyed the free Victorian Music box, but want more options for realism and sound design, then Dual Music box is perfect for you. Dual music box is a continuation of Victorian Music box. These devices sound great, and after I sampled different one, I began to layer the 2 together which resulted in a great, realistic sounding instrument. So I went ahead and made this a full little library. The sound of layer 2 is bright and plucky, when this is mixed with layer 1, you get a very pleasant, balanced sound. The tiny music box sampled was only a few centimetres across, and was rather quiet. You can sometimes hear the clicks and whirs of the cogs because of this. I feel this all adds to the realism of the instrument.

FM8 Akheron is collection of 150 patches for Native Instruments’ FM8 synthesizer. Aimed at atmospheric film scoring and deep electronica, FM8 Akheron features crisp, metallic leads; powerful, rattling basslines; evocative, crystalline pads; eerie, atonal landscapes; penetrating, dynamic sequences; and huge, noisy basses. FM synthesis is often seen as convoluted and unwieldy.  FM8 Akheron provides a wide sonic palette; from dark shadows to incandescent light. There is a haunting fragility and also a brutal strength. It is equally at home in the blood-curdling terror of a horror soundtrack as it is in the luminescent joy of an ambient project. FM8 Akheron contains sounds in both NFM8 and KSD format. Absynth Nostromo is a collection of 128 sounds for cinematic scoring and ambient electronica. Nostromo is inspired by the cinematic sounds of Trent Reznor, Atticus Ross and Dave Porter, and the electronic noises of Boards of Canada, Biosphere and I Break Horses. Full of wobbly, widescreen leads; broken, beefy basses; lush, lo-fi pads; savage, soulful soundscapes; and complex, compelling sequences. Hewn out of Absynth’s deep and destructive synthesis and sampling engine, Nostromo has a delicate, analogue soul, wrapped in a robust, digital skin. This soundset is all about drift, dirt and dynamics. The vibe and inspiration was the tone of beautiful, classic ARP and Sequential Circuits synths run through the rough-edged, early samplers of EMU and Akai. Here is a world of analogue beasts that haven’t warmed up properly, wavetable synths running off leaky batteries and old skool samplers that have been left out in the rain. By turns both quirky and creepy, Absynth Nostromo is a drifting, enchanting and occasionally disturbing collection.
