85 Super Great Plugins!
Though called “Broken Bells,” bells are not the only thing that was sampled. While we did sample some traditional bells, we also sampled tibetan singing bowls, kitchen mixing bowls, vases, wine glasses other random objects which gave a “ringing” sound which we thought was cool. We also bowed a variety of objects, including the objects mentioned above, but also a giant tin cylinder which once held the Christmas popcorn from last year. Broken Bells marks the direct opposite to our library Talua since it focuses on the dark and rusty nature of hit and bowed bell tones while Talua carries those crystal sounding glass instruments so if you’re in need for that rusty and dirty and also really imperfect bell sounds then Broken Bells is for you.
Metamorpha is the first in a new smaller series of libraries we’ll be releasing. The idea behind this is to have beautiful little instruments at your fingertips that inspire you and that do not have an overcomplicated engine. First of all it’s just plug&play. The Instruments will both be based on the original recordings of a bigger library, with pushing it into a different direction mood wise tough. But also sampled instruments, that have been recorded for this series exclusively like a Glockenspiel, various Bells etc. Metamorpha:Allmosphere is based on our recent library Broken Bells, which has been produced in collaboration with Erick McNerney, who is best known for his work with Beautiful Void Audio, Halflightsampling and Audio Reward.
A collection of Kontakt Instrument from the mangled sounds of a 20 year old Radio-shack Vox Voice Recorder. The sounds are in 3 categories: Ambient, FX, and Synth-like. These sounds include drones, soundscapes, riser and drop like sounds, and just plain mangled sounds. Most of the ambient sounds are looped seamlessly. Most of the sounds are derived from the actual mechanical noise of the recording device, by physically toying with the buttons until malfunctioning, odd sounds were created. That being said, some of the sounds are the sound of mangled sounds on the tape itself, as the result of fast-forwarding or slowing down the tape dramatically (the shrouded, unrecognizable sounds being sounds included in Audio Reward’s Headphase). There are some tuned tape ambiances where an empty part of the tape was sampled as it played and the static and hum was tuned to either major or minor.
Combining the know-how of analog reproduction and elaborate modeling technology. The ARP ODYSSEY synthesizer, perfectly reproduced in software. Since the birth of the ARP Odyssey in 1972, it has been a renowned analog synthesizer used on many artists’ records. However, for a number of years it was quite difficult to come by. In 2015, KORG welcomed ARP Instruments’ co-founder David Friend as an advisor and began production of the hardware once again.
Bloodstone : collection of 111 patches for U-he’s Dark Zebra (ZebraHZ) expansion for Zebra2. U-he’s Dark Zebra, takes their flagship flagship soft synth, Zebra2, and takes it somewhere much darker and edgier. With this set you are going to find warping, drifting pads and drones, grungy basses, basslines, warped leads, broken synths, percussive loops, sequences and ARP patterns. But you can warp and punish these sounds into very radical different tones and textures. This time there is no separate WTF section, as Dark Zebra has extensive X/Y performance controls. Each sound has been carefully programmed to make use of the modwheel and the X/Y controllers – see how quickly a sound can get into WTF territory….. Inspired by some of my current favourite soundtracks from Ben Frost, Cliff Martinez and Hildur Guðnadóttir, this set is ideal for all your dark cinematic needs. Ideal for film, game and tv composers, or those in need of some darkness and grit.
