• Sound Design Fundamentals Sampling TUTORiAL

    Sound Design Fundamentals Sampling

    P2P | 12 June 2015 | 424 MB

This classes uses the same system I’ve used for years in my college courses for teaching sound design: Identify and master the 4 main pieces of any synthesizer (or in this case, the sampler), and you will be flying when you first approach any other unit in the future. This system keeps the technical jargon to a minimum and gets you making your own sounds quick.

    P2P | 04 January 2021 | 2.48 GB

Welcome to Music Theory Fundamentals for Songwriting! This course aims to teach students of all ages how to compose and write their own songs using patterns and intentionality. The knowledge students will gain in this class will help them follow or purposefully break the rules of music writing so they can turn their musical dreams into reality. The professor, Manni Simon is a graduate of Northeastern University, where he learned all about music theory, as well as music recording and the music/entertainment business. He now operates as a self-business in sound design and audio mixing, and still loves to produce new music of his own.

  • Crime Fundamentals For U-HE ZEBRA 2-FANTASTiC

    Crime Fundamentals ZEBRA 2

    FANTASTiC | 30 April 2021 | 5 MB

Crime Fundamentals is a dark and cinematic soundset of 188 patches for u-he’s Zebra 2 software synthesizer inspired by shows like Marcella (Lorne Balfe), Blacklist (Dave Porter), Broadchurch (Ólafur Arnalds) or The Sinner (Ronit Kirchman) and also the works of John Powell (Bourne Series) or James Newton-Howard (Parkland). Designed with the crime drama genre in mind. Scoring a crime show or thriller movie asks for a vast range of styles and emotions. There is mystery, suspense and tension, sadness and despair but also hope and relief. There is murder, investigation, suspicion, interrogation, action, drama and the always ticking clock in a race against time. Crime Fundamentals gives you a great set of tools to cover every aspect of a story in your work as a film composer. You will find deep and thumbing basses, disturbed and emotional pads, simple and effective pulses, dark drones, quirky keys and mallets as well as a vast array of driving tickys to keep up the pace.

A ton of tips and tricks when getting to grips with mixing. Aimed at beginners but super useful for all abilities Phil takes an in-depth look into how to get your tracks to shine, focussing on what you’re trying to achieve when mixing your projects and how to get the right result you’re after. We firstly look at the importance of listening in detail to other mixes we like before going through all the different processes and tools we can use to create space from EQ, compression, widening and balancing. Getting the right mix can definitely make or break a tune and there really is a fine line between getting it right and getting it wrong. A must-see for all those emerging producers out there!

  • The Fundamentals of Piano Playing PT3

    FANTASTiC | 29 January 2020 | 1.05 GB

I’m picking up right where I left off with the Fundamentals of Piano Playing Part 2. In the FoPP Pt 2, we’ve learned to read notes, and remember to keep practicing them every day! In this course our goal is to play the arrangement I made of Shostakovich’s 2nd Waltz.  The arrangements I made for this course can be found in the Project section as attachments. I think the course will be more easy to follow if you’re behind your piano and you print out the arrangement beforehand and watch the course with the sheet music on the piano and your laptop next to it trying to participate immediately and pausing the course whenever necessary. (but completely up to you of course).
