Need layers? We got layers… We got alllll the layers. Here’s the deal. Electronic music sounds pretty bland without layering – this is where foley comes in, you use it to layer on basses, drums, synth sounds, other foley, anything really. It adds texture, sonic interest & relisten value.
Ever wished your music sounded more moist? Ever been listening to a foley-based, glitch artist and thought to yourself “HOW DO THEY GET THIS SO WET!? THIS GUY MUST BE A SYNTHESIS GOD!” Well, wonder no more! Bar a few artists, most of them aren’t synthesising that stuff – they’re just nicely recorded water samples, and that’s exactly what you’ll be getting here :)
‘Lithium: Melodic Chillstep & Foley’ delivers a wealth of high fidelity sounds & sonic elements, pushing the boundaries of organic and synthetic sound with this incredible collection. Inside you will find a vast amount of high-quality material designed to create an emotional feel within your productions. This pack is suitable for Chillstep, Electronica & Cinematic productions.
‘Foley Ambient Works’ delivers a collection of Construction Kits and sounds designed for producers of Cinematic, Chillstep, Ambient and more. As well as designing in studio, the team has travelled to desolate wastelands to record a selection of glass & metal smashes, crashes, splats, cracking, squeaks, whooshes to deliver this outstanding collection straight to your studio. This product contains five extended Construction Kits delivering different sounds/song sections. A collection of analog and virtual analog outboard gear has been used to design and record these quality multi-tracks. The majority of these sounds was routed through an Apogee Symphony AD/DA and Drawmer 1978 compressor for additional warmth and punch.
‘Ultra Foley Samples’ is filled with field recordings that were captured in a studio, with minimal additional processing applied. These are, for the most part, recordings of various objects and tools being hit. These foley sounds are perfect for building organic sounding rhythms and layering over existing drum tracks.
‘Rhythmic Foley’ brings a unique selection of live recorded “found sounds” that can be used in all genres of music such as Cinematic, Ambient, Downtempo, House, World and more! All sounds were recorded at 192kHz and 24-Bit to deliver the epitome of sonic quality’ The Sound Designer for this product, Sebastian Bach, is intrigued and inspired by the rhythmical vibe of everyday-use items. He decided to capture the sounds of house-hold items, such as washing machines, cutlery, coffee makers, pots, cups, nuts, bolts and more. The live recordings of these items have been creatively twisted, mangled and edited in ways that allow them to be useable Loops and One-Shots for any genre. The gear used for recording this product was a Tascam recorder and stereo-pair of Rode microphones. While listening to the samples, you can hear different recording techniques that combine sounds in mono by the recorder and the stereo field captured by Rode microphones.
In this detailed course, seasoned audio guru guides you through every aspect of sound that you’ll ever need to know as a filmmaker. Recording, dialogue, sound effects, foley, ADR, mixing, fixing – it’s all here for you to master in the most comprehensive audio-for-film series ever created.
