Creative Tools For Audio Workers.
A stereo plate reverb plug-in capable of a rich variety of effects, with intuitive controls and efficient use of CPU and system resources. The RVB500 plug-in algorithmically emulates a mechanical plate reverb, still regarded as a mainstay of many recording studios, for a diverse range of effects including drum enhancement or vocal ambience – while complementing more complex or resource intensive convolution models. Economical with system resources, the RVB500 is ideal for classic reverb effects while still leaving sufficient power available for the most complex audio workstation projects. Intuitive controls including a sub-sample resolution pre-delay, variable time and damping, coupled with virtual reverb plate transducer amplifiers for enhanced harmonic drive at high levels and a Wet-only switch, for use on a dedicated reverb buss, enable a wide variety of processing options.
After 3 years of using the original Clariphonic DSP, I’d compiled quite a list of improvements I wanted to make. So I made them all, and the result is the Clariphonic DSP mkII, modeled from the ground up by me using all new algorithms and filters. To my ears, the mkII sounds markedly smoother than the original, and it’s considerably more powerful in use. It has 3 modes: classic Stereo, Dual Mono so I can eq each side differently, or Mid-Side for advanced sweetening. I overhauled the GUI as well, it’s a little easier on the eye and a lot easier to use. Between the smoother sound, the 3 operational modes, and the enhanced interface, I’m more proud of this design than any I’ve done to date, and that’s coming from the guy who recently dropped the Tweaker.
Boost is a simple, powerful mix finalising utility designed to get your music sounding as full and polished as possible using a minimal amount of processing. Utilising cutting-edge low-latency DSP, Boost adds multi-band compression, 4-band equalisation, stereo enhancement, brickwall limiting and filters out inaudible low frequencies to give a fuller, louder and wider mixdown. Hear dynamics spring to life, drums explode with energy, basslines punch through and high end revitalise with glistening sheen. Boost is placed on the mix buss and can be used to master a processed track, subtly enhance an already finished project, or completely sculpt the dynamics of your song from start to finish, breathing fresh life into your music and readying for commercial release, club or radio play. Take an idea from start to finish using just 4 simple smart controls.
A versatile graphical EQ with a wide range of zero latency analogue modelled filters and realtime FFT display. Many digital EQs, including those of some popular Digital Audio Workstations can have an artificially cramped filter response, especially at high frequency settings. This is often cited as a reason for the ‘digital’ sound of some equalizers. Conventional solutions to this problem can be both CPU intensive and add extra latency or other artefacts. The AF2-10 uses innovative filter algorithms to accurately model the natural response of analogue designs, even at close to the limit imposed by the sample rate, without requiring CPU intensive or latency inducing techniques. Up to ten bands are provided covering a comprehensive range of filter types across the full 20Hz to 20kHz audio range together with a sample synchronous realtime FFT display featuring optional pre / post process monitoring and selectable slope compensation.
The fact that the Hammer EQ is now plugin. The Hammer’s mythical top end sheen and tube-thickened low end quickly earned it a permanent place on mix busses around the world. Me, I’ve always been partial to its smooth, bite-free midrange—something that’s difficult to find in any EQ, let alone in a plugin. Try a little bump at 50Hz, 800Hz, and 10k, and your mix will noticeably pop out of the speakers. That one’s called ‘Subtle Vintage Points”, one of over 60 custom UBK presets that are destined to bring a lot of magic to a lot of tracks in the near future.
FlowStone is an ideal application for developing Digital Signal Processing (DSP) algorithms for various type of signal analysis. FlowStone come with a set of standard DSP modules to aid development such a IIR, FFT, PID, Correlation, Running Average etc. Plus a low level code module allowing sample accurate DSP code to be written when necessary.
