Glassy is an EP module (+ pads) inspired on the lovely Digital Electric Piano sounds from the late ’80s and ’90s. Recreated by spectral modeling, offering 20 studio-quality Digital Pianos in just 35MB. NO FM, NO SAMPLES. AN ADDITIVE APPROACH: Glassy was built using spectral modeling. In some way it’s related with additive synthesis method. We used spectral models to recreate famous sounds and to introduce new ones. With a detailed control of the harmonics over the keyboard range.
This release shows what you can do with simple percussive samples and creative processing! I started with resynthesizing a digital percussion sound and misused the resynthesizing feature a little bit and played the result in several pitches to create the naked versions. All processed versions were designed with several hardware devices like Bricasti, REDD.47 pre-amp and vintage samplers you will recognize by the file names. On top I used some secret weapons to create the granulized versions.
The team that brought you ‘Scary Voices’ returns with another epic set of vocal bits, ‘Digital Nightmares: DJ Drops & Sound Effects’ for Halloween and beyond. Voice actor Johann Smit performs some of the most disturbingly scary vocal drops, groans, growls, and other paranormal sounds. ‘Digital Nightmares: DJ Drops & Sound Effects’ also includes creepy children’s voices, female screams, creepy laughter, long speeches, side-chaining Zombie moans, looped phrases, looped vocal drops, twisted creatures, sound effects, creaky doors, creaky floors, thunderstorms, doors slamming, and much more. Some of the looped phrases say things like “Get on the dancefloor”, “Welcome to the dancefloor of fear”, “Make them scream”, “Lose your head”, and “Get up and dance” all in a dark and disturbing Halloween DJ voice.
