Synth Explorer: Pro One’ carries on this series of Royalty Free loops and one shot samples that pay tribute to the legendry synthesisers and drum machines that have inspired generations of electronic music producers from the early electronic revolution right up to the current day. Released in 1981, the Sequential Circuits Pro One landed at a time where polyphonic analogue synths were flavour of the month. But this was no ordinary monosynth. What made the Pro-One so revolutionary was the incredible modulation matrix which offered unparalleled sonic possibilities. Add to that 2 monster VCOs, a powerful 4-pole lowpass filter, 2 ADSRs, audio input, glide, pitch bend, a built-in 2 pattern sequencer and an arpeggiator, then you have a sonic powerhouse, rightly regarded as one of the greatest synths ever made.
One of the most incredible new synths available. It re-defines analog synthesis in a modern synth. Using Virtual Sound Modeling technology the intricate nuances and character of analog synth sounds are beautifully recreated on this amazingly flexible synth. This synth is currently in use by lots of artists including Ken Ishii, The Crystal Method, Fatboy Slim, Cirrus, Nine Inch Nails, Depeche Mode, Deftones, Mouse on Mars, Maroon 5, Dr. Dre, Laurent Garnier, ATB, The Prodigy, Autechre, Astral Projection, Boom Boom Satellites, Fluke, Front Line Assembly, KMFDM and Underworld.
Welcome to the Synth Explorer series of royalty free loops and one shot samples that pay tribute to the legendry synthesisers and drum machines that have inspired generations of electronic music producers from the early electronic revolution right up to the current day. This time out we visit Yamaha and delve inside the FM beast that is the DX7. The Yamaha DX7 is an FM (Frequency Modulation) digital synth and was manufactured from 1983 to 1989. The DX became the first commercially successful Digital synth and featured in hundreds of productions from Electro Pop, Jazz, Rock and early 90s House music it in fact seemed to be everywhere.. It is most famous for its Electric Piano, Bells, Plucked and Percussive Sounds, but the complex way the sounds are shaped with multiple Sine Waves modulating each other using 32 different algorithms meant that the sound design possibilities were huge and with some patience and effort very complex sounds from horns to strings, atmospheres and crazy metallic sound effects were possible.
’70s and 80s Synths Volume 3′ contains 64 patches for Native Instruments Massive. We went all-out for this 3rd volume in the series, with thick analog leads, fat basses, beautiful retro pads and plucked synths. Some influences include Pet Shop Boys, Depeche Mode, Human League, Wham, Kim Wilde, Jean-Micheal Jarre, early Micheal Jackson tunes, James Brown, Kool and the Gang, and plenty more.
