Haaze provides two different ways of making a mono (or a not-wide-enough-stereo) signal to a wider stereo signal. By splitting the input signal into 16 different frequency regions, spanning from 20 Hz to 20kHz, Haaze can add different amount of stereo-widening to different frequency regions. This makes it possible to transform a mono track into a natural sounding stereo track (by for example keeping lower frequencies in mono while spreading the higher ones). Haaze is using two different stereo widening techniques, Haas (short delays between left and right channel) and ”Split EQ” (different gain on different channels on different frequency regions).

Kuvert defines a whole new way of dealing with effects. In short, Kuvert allows you to draw five different envelopes. These envelopes control different effect parameters, and can be drawn freely or onto a grid. The envelopes are looped, while the incoming audio isn’t (unless you’re feeding it looped material of course). This is a powerful & fun way of altering your sounds to reach a whole new level, sometimes not even recognizable! Thanks to the looping nature of the plug-in, it will fit very well into any musical context. One way of using it would be to revitalize any looped material (such as beats) within just a few seconds.

It has a super-simple UI, a whole new ”physical” take on how to tame and visualize a compressor. The controls are minimal – set the input gain, level of compression, and the output gain. However, don’t be mislead by this simplicity. Under the hood is a sophisticated set of algorithms, developed together with a team from the KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm. The compression algorithm was designed with transparency in mind, and Korvpressor will sound great on almost any kind of sound; all from a vocal track to a full blown mix.
