The artists that initially received the most media attention were Fischerspooner, Peaches, Chicks on Speed, and Miss Kittin and The Hacker. Artists associated with electroclash include Felix da Housecat, Freezepop, Miss Kittin and The Hacker, Tiga, Peaches, Le Tigre, Chicks on Speed, Fischerspooner, The Slants and Ladytron. Some touching on the traditional, others exploring the surreal or etherial, but never too close to the mundane, and never too far away that they loose the listeners connection. This special version of EXPANSE for Reason includes custom built Combinator patches that allow for expressive control over the timbre, envelope, space, motion, and other variables in relation to the structure of the patch.
