CronoX mixes up your samples in realtime like no other instrument. If you start with a kick sample you may end up with getting a fascinating pad from it, and you should not be astonished to get some punchy drums just from your vocal samples. Its CronoX, samples are only food for its versatile and unique engines.
Spectral Conquest is an effect plug-in that lets you directly manipulate the frequency spectrum of audio signals. The incoming signal is analysed via a FFT (Fast Fourier Transform), resulting in the familiar spectrum plot where the full audio spectrum is split into a number of narrow frequency bands. The outgoing audio is then regenerated by an Inverse FFT. The interesting bit is that the plug-in lets you modify the frequency spectrum in between.
Nanxiao (Southern Xiao) is a bamboo flute of the Xiao family. Unlike Dizi, Xiao has no membrane. Nanxiao is mostly popular in the Fujian area of southern China. Like the Japanese Shakuhachi, NanXiao is the offspring of ChiBa and DongXiao from the Tang Dynasty (618 – 907 AD).
Straightliner is a straight-lined and modern approach to subtractive synthesis. Instead of trying to faithfully emulate old analog synthesizers with all their physically imposed limitations, Straightliner takes full advantage of the extended possibilities that software based synthesis offers: the oscillators support loading of arbitrary (single cycle) audio files. Flexible modulation generators, which allow to define an arbitrary number of breakpoints, are available for pitch, filter-frequency and amplitude. The filter has a lot of different modes, among them the usual suspects like lowpass, highpass, bandpass and a sophisticated Moog-filter model. The whole signal path is laid out in stereo which allows for big and enveloping sounds even without any effects. The user interface of the synth focuses on visual editors instead of the commonly seen hardware oriented interfaces.
Ubergate is a multi-fx plugin comprising of a pattern based gate and two effect chains. Each effect chain features delay, filter with LFO, modulation (chorus/flanger/phaser) and 3-band EQ with Drive. Delay time and filter / pan LFO can be tempo synced or free running. Delay tempo sync includes dotted settings and double time settings. Each filter features lowpass, highpass and bandpass modes, with LFO to cutoff control. Each effect chain has individual volume and pan controls, with independant LFO to pan controls. 128 presets, grouped by application. Ubergate will “Trance-up” your synth parts, “Spice-up” your drum beats, “Freak-out” your vocal tracks, “Warp-out” your guitar riffs, “tweak” your FX — AND SO MUCH MORE!
