An ideal tool for creating retrowave flavoured synthetic sounds, from classic synth brass to modern and alternative pads and textures. It’s also a great compendium to any style of
music, including Retro and Modern Electronica, Synthpop, Wave, Hip Hop, Film Music and Ambient. Sounds are divided into three main categories: Original sounds (the original generated sounds), Snapshots (designed presets) and Sequences (A selection of sequences, including editable Step Bender) With its usable interface and a selected array of controls and effects The Portable allows the customization and creation of an unlimited range of inspiring sounds. Controls include a Luminance control with over 20 impulses and a Rhythmizer for additional modulation. It also includes a Step Bender for the creation of custom sequences.
A deep sampled Tibetan bowl for Kontakt 5, featuring two articulations: hits and sustains. The instrument was sampled with a multitude of dynamic layers and round robins, and packaged in an easy-to-use Kontakt instrument. This library features a deeply sampled Tibetan Singing Bowl, recorded in close stereo, and mapped across a playable range of four octaves. Two articulations were captured – sustains (created by moving the wooden mallet in a circular motion around the rim of the bowl) and hits. Both these articulations were recorded with a multitude of dynamic layers, which allows for very delicate and realistic playing. The instrument was programmed with ease of use in mind. Simply move the mod wheel while playing sustains to smoothly morph between different dynamic levels. When performing a real singing bowl, changes in dynamics are often very slow, since the bowl takes time to vibrate and resonate. Setting the ‘speed’ control to a low value will simulate this, by gradually fading between the dynamic layers.

WURL-e Studio, our take on the classic Wurlitzer 200 electric piano. Experience the sound of a classic! The Wurlitzer Model 200 electric piano can be found on countless rock, blues, and jazz recordings since the 1960s. We recorded the line out, a single mic on one of the piano’s speakers, and stereo mics at the player’s position. We also recorded custom impulse responses of a classic amp from 2 mic positions.
AdLibXRom is a plugin instrument featuring the sound of the AdLib Music Synthesizer Card. Famous in the early nineties for being widely used in PC Windows based computers, the AdLib soundcard had a synthesis chip build by Yamaha. This chip was the YM3812, a FM and additive synthesizer which had up to 9 channels of digitally produced sound Each channel had two oscillators that could be modulated by three different waveforms. The result is what was heard in the computer video games in the first half of the nineties.
