Electro Bass is a very simple software synthesizer built upon the Kontakt 4 sampler from NI. It is best described as an innocent flirt with the Electro genre – designed to be an inspiration when working on those big sounding, portamento-ish bass sounds. Is Electro Bass a one-trick pony? You bet! No sweet pads or trance plucks will ever emanate from this instrument. Nothing but the pumping goodness of bass. The structure is simple. There are two oscillator sections, each with three unique waveforms. Each oscillator has its own lowpass/hipass filter, there is one envelope for the volume and one envelope for a master filter.There are two effects: delay and a simple saturation effect to give the sound a rougher edge.

For lovers of the pumping sidechain-effect – the pump-knob will come in handy. No routing needed – it’s all fake: it’s just a complex LFO shape that controls the volume. But it sounds pretty convincing.
