The Kinderklavier is an iconic sound found in commercials, TV, soundtracks and pop music. From cute and innocent, dark and twisted, to pop and rock, Kinderklavier is a truly versatile library. This Kinderklavier was deep sampled and close-mic’ed to capture all it’s subtle nuances. As usual, we deeply sampled the instrument, every single 25 notes with 8 round robin and an average of 6 velocity layers per note. The keys of the Kinderklavier had such unique character that we had to multi-sample and include them as release triggers with multiple round robin and velocity layers.
In addition to our standard deep sampling, the Kinderklavier was beaten with sticks and mallets, dismantled, probed, strummed and tortured in just about as many ways as we could think of, creating a variety of effects sounds. After extracting all usable sounds, we decided to push the library further by creating a set of tuned, deep ambiences. Topping off the library is a complete set of custom controls tuned for each patch and our own custom reverb with 46 unique impulses to choose from.
Details: The Kinderklavier library includes custom front-panel controls and modwheel automation to allow pitch adjustment of up to +/- 6 octaves. Attack and release knobs are included allowing you to really sculpt the sound. An offset knob also allows you to cut into the samples, creating unique effects. The samples have been stretched up and down the entire keyboard and we’ve included a “Natural Range” button to constrict the playable key range to just the original 25 keys of the kinderklavier.
The included Convolution Reverb effect features 46 select custom impulse responses recorded from magesy download some of our favorite locations. Among those are also fx impulses which are more special effect than reverb.
