This HALion instrument fuses the sounds of wine glasses, singing bowls, bowed vibraphone and gamelan and an autoharp with resynthesized and time-stretched percussive metals.

The idea behind Vertigo Glass & Iron
For scoring two new German TV series, “Polizeiruf” and “ZERV”, Cinematique Instruments were looking for a new class of warm, rich sounds, which could create tension at the same time. After experimenting with different sources, they decided to extend the sample sessions and build a new Vertigo instrument. The result is a raw and very organic library, based around rubbed glasses, bowed vibraphone and gamelan, plus all kinds of struck glass and metal objects. Some special articulations were also created by running the sounds through modular equipment.
