    Christmas is one of nicest holidays in the year. In some lands, it is in this season that snow and frost come, in others heat or rain rule. But every Christian land on earth people decorate little trees which are the main visual symbol of Christmas. A lot of Christmas frills, decorative chains, candles and big stars are put on the Christmas tree. And it was this star which inspired me to create small sound library, WSM Imagination, for you, the subscribers of WS magazine. You can immerse yourself in unknown worlds, full of stars, nebulae and planets, and leave your imagination to levitate in a deluge of atmospheric sounds which this sound library offers. Also, the skin which comes with this sound library is in a lustrous blue color to even more inspire your imagination when you listen its presets. I did not have much time to create a totally new skin, so I modified the skin of Mistral, but I hope that you will like this skin.

    Acoustic Modelling WusikPACKS 1-6-ASSiGN

    This group of SoundSets and Presets includes sounds I produced recently in working on physical simulation of instruments, as well as some from recording of an acoustic guitar — feeding the simulation results or recording through guitar amp simulations, for most of them — then through acoustic modelling software for all of them. The instruments typically consist of four velocity layers, every other note over the range. The Presets are simply places suggested for starting points for further exploration. I simply manipulated the ADSR envelopes of two oscillators described below to provide more and less of the acoustic modelling sound (“ambient” loosely speaking). I also provided some single-velocity layer presets for lighter CPU and memory loading.

    Voxynth is a synth (VST or AU), which can be used to create vocal sounds or synthetic choirs. Unlike many other plugins, this synth contains 20 different formant filters (38 in version 2.0), which give the synth an organic an unusual sound. In addition, the MIDI synth has a stereo delay and comes with 64 factory patches (256 in version 2.0) and a manual (Adobe Acrobat). The plugin has been tested with Cubase SX 1.02, Cubase VST 3.7 and 5.0, Muzys 2.11, Emagic Logic Platinum 6.1, Rax, SynthTest, Orion Pro 3.03, Logic 5, Acid Pro 4.0, Magix Music Studio 7, Audio Mulch 0.9 and SONAR 2.0 using the ToneWise DirectiXer and FXpansion VST-DX adapters. It should work with all VST and AU compatible hosts as long as they follow the VST and AU specifications.
