The Rock Foundry SDX was recorded at Bob Rock’s choice studio The Warehouse in Vancouver, BC, and designed to give you the most flexible selection of drums, ambiences and options possible. It’s configured as two individual SDXs, one ‘Main’ and one ‘Mono.’ The ‘Main’ features six kits captured with a traditional multiple microphone technology whereas the ‘Mono’ configuration was recorded using a minimal setup. In addition to the seven individual kits, a large selection of extra snares, kicks and cymbals are provided, making The Rock Foundry SDX an incredibly broad palette of raw material to use to craft drum mixes within the powerful framework of Superior Drummer 3.

Basic, sturdy grooves covering the essentials of country drumming. In a country song, nothing contends with the vocal. Probably more so than in any genre, it completely bathes in the center stage limelight. But just like in any kind of music, all instruments in a song work in each other’s favor. The Blues EZX comes with two complete kits; a 1970s Gretsch and a calfskinned Swedish Levin set from the 1940s. On top of that, it features contemporary Paiste and Sabian crashes, vintage Zildjan A and K series cymbals as well as extras such as a suitcase and a set of calfskinned tambourines. All instruments were handpicked and in many cases road-worn by the sampling drummer himself, a blues musician with decades worth of experience behind the kit playing the blues. It was recorded in an empty Swedish theater and later mixed in a high-end studio through vintage and modern outboard gear. The end result is a cross-pollination between new and old; warm and characteristic sounds that cover the whole range, from old school to modern, from dry to ambient. This is the sound of then, now and time to come.

Fueled by acts like Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple and Black Sabbath, a new breed of rock burst onto the scene in the late sixties. Helmed by Rival Sons’ drummer Michael Miley and Grammy Award-winning engineer Dave Cobb (Rival Sons, Europe, Zac Brown Band), it sets out to capture the raw essence of classic rock drums as we know them. Recorded at Cobb’s own Low Country Sound Studio in Nashville, it presents five essentially different kits that still share one common denominator – they’re the massive, reverberant and roaring type, tailored for big rock songs.

A massive EZX tailored for industrial rock and metal, dark electronic beats and cinematic sound design. Inspired by anything from industrial metal to dark electronic beats and cinematic sound design, this EZX presents a fathomless fusion of warped, menacing and multi-layered textures of cutting-edge sound design. In total, more than 400 audio sources covering anything from acoustic drums and percussion to electronic drum machines, foley, ambience and effect noises are included. Using elaborate chains of effects and outboard, each individual sound was engineered, re-amped or remixed for a tangibly raw, gritty and distorted feel. With these sounds as a base, 31 mix-ready presets were created, each offering its own unique hybrid kit. Combined, the contents of this EZX will lend you a massive body of sound that melds the two worlds of acoustic and electronic into a sinister synthesis of skewed percussive go-tos for any track in need of a viscerally dark aura.
