From the outer reaches of planet dub, a broken technological (de)volution spits, splutters and rises. Noise, hum, crackle, machine-dirt and skeletal riddims stolen from haunted dancehalls give rise to new forms, built on an ancient future. This is the sound of things falling apart – and what a glorious sound it is. Amniotic, womb-like and defiantly broken. Inspired by dub-techno pioneers like Basic Channel, Burial, Deepchild, Echospace Detroit, DJ Seinfeld and more, Volume 1 in our series focusses on rhythmic and side-chained hum, crackle, grit and audio detritus, all immaculately tailored to add colour and depth to your lo-fi techno, house, experimental, vaporwave and ambient productions.
